PORTS Benton Harbor Consumers International Terminal Company The St. Joseph/Benton Harbor commercial port is located on the St. Joseph River. In addition to accommodating deep draft freighters, approval was granted in the Spring of 1995 for river barge shipping via the Mississippi River.
